Lewis County Art Show held
Sunday, May 27, 2007: More than a dozen Lewis County artists were showcased at Lewis County's first
art show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at the George Morgan Thomas Home/Vanceburg
Visitors Center at the corner of Third and Main Streets in Vanceburg.

While some of the artists have had formal training, others are self-taught. Media includes oils,
watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, ink, photography, bronze work, woodwork, leather carving, pottery and
more. Some pieces will be for display purposes only but many other pieces will be offered for sale. Most
of the artists will be available throughout to event to discuss their work.

In additional to the formal exhibit, visitors are also invited to peruse Lewis County arts & crafts,
notecards, quilts, candles and other items in the Visitor Center's gift shop.

Participating artists included Charles Campbell, Anthony Carroll, Jack Esham, Paula Franke,  Sue
Gorman, Billy Johnson, Pat Prater, Danny McCane, Dan'l Sisson, Monica Stafford, Laura Stone, Danney
Storey, Laura Stone, Helen Strickler, Paul Taylor, Vivian Talley, Ed Taylor and Larry Thurman.
