Lewis County Little League Prepares For 2007 Season
Friday, February 2, 2007: One of the rites of spring begins anew as the 2007 season
gets under way at Vanceburg, Kentucky on April 15, 2007, for the Lewis County Little
League.
Little League, founded in 1939 in Williamsport, Penn., is the world’s largest youth sports
program with more than 2.8 million children and 1 million volunteers in more than 100
countries. More than 30 million people have played in Little League programs. Lewis
County Little League played its first season in 1999.
This year approximately 380 children ages 5 to 14 will compete in several divisions of
play in tee ball, baseball and softball at Lewis County Little League. For more, please call
